"Where Have all the Years Gone?"

Where have all the years gone?
It seems just yesterday we were in grade one.
Now here we sit among our friends.
Anxiously waiting ‘til our schooling ends.
We’ve been together for nearly thirteen years
Helping to wipe away other’s tears.
Now our time together is ending,
And let’s face it, our hearts need mending.
We become men and women today.
Going out on our own and moving away.
We can’t ask our parents for every little thing.
It’s time to get outta the nest and flap our wings.
We’re about to leave our old life behind
With many different fears on our mind.
Be true to who you are my friends.
Let’s hope life doesn’t lead to dead ends.
One last thing I want you to know:
God is with you wherever you go.
With that, let’s shed one last tear,
And get the heck outta here!
